HOLIDAY NEWS LETTER

Good Morning:

Health Bulletin

“It’s not the amount of stress you have so much as the way you handle it,” observed
Dr. Hans Selye, a famed pioneer stress scientist.  Suggestions include several ways
that will help handle it:  Live one day at a time, concentrating on the work and
pleasures of today.  Set and achieve realistic and attainable goals.  Get out of yourself
by remembering the overall meaning of the large picture.  Laugh a lot, make time for
short recreation breaks and keep up some regular exercise.

Reaction to stressors (stress-causing events) usually result in knotted muscles in the
neck and back and, frequently, in strained posture.  These strains can cause various
spinal misalignments (subluxations) which make one more susceptible to other
stressors.  Researchers have shown that chiropractic treatment can not only adjust
possible spinal misalignment but can help break the cycle of reflex irritation and alter
the mental state by removing neuromuscular tension, lessening nerve cell fatigue,
increasing  circulation, raising the pain threshold, and increasing the oxygen supply to
the brain as a result of the release of muscles of respiration.

For your fullest enjoyment follow these suggestions for handling stress and see your
chiropractor to keep your spine in top condition.

May the blessings of the season bring you peace and happiness that will last
throughout the coming year.  And may this season be the brightest and happiest ever!

                                                                    Yours for better health, naturally,
